measuring the universe

here is a very nice video from the royal observatory greenwich in london explaining how you measure the universe, "from the transit of venus to the edge of the cosmos."  the video features the voice of a friend of mine... can you identify her accent?

I, too, thought of Meghan Gray, though I'll admit I couldn't remember her name until I scrolled down to Andy's comment.

Which accent are you asking about? Some sentences seem purely English but others have a definite but rather non-specific North American flavour. Is she English but has spent quite a bit of time in the eastern US or Canada? Or maybe English but educated at an American school in some other country? Very odd.
